Workshop and book launch: "Awkward Archives. Ethnographic Drafts for a Modular Curriculum", facilitated by Lynhan Balatbat-Helbock, Margareta von Oswald, and Jonas Tinius for the Thinking Through the Museum Network, February 13, 2023
For this iteration, we will reflect on difficult heritage in the everyday and the question of how we can work with racist and problematic materials in careful ways that neither reproduce their violent content nor confront users with materials they did no choose to see. We will evoke ways of bringing ethnographic practice to bear on contexts beyond the confines of the discipline of anthropology.

Universalism & ... |
The YouTube channel "Universalism & ..." documents conversations of the Minor Universality ERC project research team with internationally-renowned scientists from a transdisciplinary perspective. The exchanges address the central questions: How can we think universality after the necessary epistemic and ethic critical critique of western universalism? How do contemporary cultural and social practices, such as oral transmissions, narrations of the self and social media, literatures, art and curatorial practice, architectures and museums, self-organised spaces and cultural festivals, open up local settings so as to create a new embodied awareness of humanity? These conversations will be published in 2024 as Universalism(e) & ... (de Gruyter).
